Mobile networks continue to play a crucial role in helping the UK remain connected, enabling people to stay in touch with friends, family and colleagues.

Above and beyond that, O2 has announced that The O2 arena has been made available as an NHS training facility, initially operating from 12th April – 29th June 2020. The staff trained will go on to work at the NHS Nightingale field hospital at ExCel London.  The NHS will be using this as an educational training facility to prepare staff and no patients will be treated on site.

O2 has also announced that they have reduced their rates for calling Hospedia numbers. Hospedia provide bedside telephones in 130 hospitals - and our O2 customers can now call Hospedia bedside telephones at a reduced rate.  All O2 charges for this service have been removed so customers won’t pay any more than 13p per minute - which is the charge from Hospedia.  Other providers offer similar bedside phone services to NHS Trusts and hospitals. O2 is working with the NHS to identify these service providers and review the corresponding charges accordingly.
