For me, being of an age where technology has played a massive part of my life growing up, I feel that Cyber Security lessons at school could play a major part in helping people keep safe from attacks.
In school I was told about the dangers of giving out personal information and how to keep yourself safe on the world wide web, but we were never given any information on how to keep our Phones, Laptops, Tablets etc. safe from hacking.
This is a great way to start teaching children who can then show their families and friends how to keep their computer systems safe!
Schoolchildren in England will be offered lessons in cyber security in a bid to find the experts of the future to defend the UK from attacks. It is hoped 5,700 pupils aged 14 and over will spend up to four hours a week on the subject in a five-year pilot.
