With BT further increasing their line rental pricing by 6% on the 1st May 2016, it is opening up the opportunity for incredible savings by playing the field and investigating other suppliers. This latest increase from BT is indication of an overall price hike, with other main service providers set to follow suit in the coming months.
When it comes to your line rental it is important to make sure that you don’t let yourself become tied down. Companies often offer special reduced rates and bonuses to new customers, or provide discounted bundle deals to existing ones should you not wish to switch provider merely update the offering you receive. However, they are usually subject to a contract term of several years or more.
The good news is that up until the 31st April BT are offering the chance to switch providers penalty free, even if you have time remaining on your contract. There is no time to waste however as your services will need to be moved from BT before the price change on the 1st May comes into effect.
